server version bs

Might want to let people know how to obtain the correct version to be able play on your servers.
All the newer cod4 disk install at v1.6. Server is v1.1. I cant get my game depatch any further than v1.2.
Would really like to play and get to know you guys, but yer version is fubar and will not allow me to do so.
Im probably not the only one with this bullshit of problem.

Nope your not the only person. My real life friend bought cod4 to play with me and his disk automatically installed to 1.2 which is pretty stupid honestly.

Don't think so. Not sure, never tried. And I think his actually installed right to 1.5, dunno why I said 1.2

well i bought cod4 in like january 2009 and i got to play on the servers, i don't know if it is because i live in england and is an english copy or not but oh well

I got mine in January as well and it installed to 1.0. My friend bought it a few months after and it was installed right to 1.5 so it probably changed somewhere between there.
