can someone post a tutorial on how to setup the mic on PC version of cod4?

I've setup my mic for WoW and it works fine.

I've also setup ingame options to the best of my ability for cod4 options but i cant talk, and I can BARELY hear people talking sometimes after the game is over...

we use ventrilo...alot easier to use and u can adjust peoples volume
