this is something i am putting together for people outside of the clan that want to know how to run v1.0 and v1.7 together on one computer IF YOU ARE RUNNING WINDOWS XP .... VISTA IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT

1. download the v1.6 and 1.7 patch

2.go to your cod4 folder it is normally located in c:\program files\activion\call of duty 4 -modern warfare

3. right click on call of duty 4 -modern warfare and then click copy

4. now close that window out and go to another directory such as just c:/ in my computer

5.create a new folder in that directory (c:\) call it cod4 1.7

6. open cod4 1.7 and paste call of duty 4 - modern warfare that you just copied in that folder

7.run the 1.6 patch BUT MAKE SURE WHEN IT COMES UP THAT YOU CHANGE THE DIRECTORY WHERE IT IS TO INSTALL IT.. TO C:\COD4\call of duty 4 -modern warfare .

8. run the 1.7 patch BUT MAKE SURE WHEN IT COMES UP THAT YOU CHANGE THE DIRECTORY WHERE IT IS TO INSTALL IT.. TO C:\COD4\call of duty 4 -modern warfare .

9. NOW YOU CAN GO C:\COD4\ and open the call of duty 4 - modern warefare folder

10. find the file iw3mp right click on it and create a shortcut to your desktop

11. rename your shortcut on your desktop cod4 1.7

12. NOW YOU HAVE BOTH 1.7 AND 1.0
